It's another beautiful fall day in Boulder and the farmer's market was absolutely bustling with people this morning. I've been anxious to take some photos, again, of the market -- after all, Boulder Farmers' Market
ranks up there among one of the best markets in the country, and really it's a sight to see. Oh the colors, the variety, the happy people! In spite of the crowds, I nabbed a few shots of the enchanting market.

One of my favorite stops at the market, the
Hazel Dell Mushroom stand where we pick up a "grab bag" of assorted mushrooms for only five dollars. Yum.
The Munson Farms stand. They are best known for their sweet corn but in the fall they offer an ornamental variety among plenty of other traditional fall produce.
Of course, this wouldn't be such a sight without the crowd of Boulderites shuffling along from stand to stand grabbing up their share of market goodies.
Our purchases:
Conscious Coffee, poblano peppers, mushrooms, arugula, carrots, turnips, radishes, zucchini, romas,
apples, sunflowers, and finally, some sure to be delicious
steaks.
It was a big day for us at the market. I'm sure you'll agree, it's easy to go overboard buying local produce with the myriad wonderful choices surrounding you. When I first began attending the market on a regular basis, my reasons were mostly selfish. But in the last year, I've really developed a respect and appreciation for local farmers here in Colorado. I look forward to supporting local farms, to meeting the people who've tenderly cared for their crops from farm to market, and indulging in the fruits of their labor.
