Here are some videos of Isaac before bed tonight. In them he tells quite the story of biking up mountains and climbing a tower to escape a bear. His cute little face was all twisted up from the effort of spinning such a dramatic tale. Beyond the stories, you get a glimpse into our evolving nighttime routine, in which after--and often during--story time, scaling (crib) walls, wandering the length of the room, and chattering at Mama and Daddy are never in short supply.

More Zoo Fun

We have a season pass to the zoo, so you might as well get used to seeing a lot of photos animals. This trip was all about the big cats, especially the little big cats. Isaac and I even got to meet the one-month-old clouded leopard cubs, Rhu and Pi, today--the first time they were shown!

Easter Egg Hunt

I don't know what was going on with my photography skills this morning--maybe I couldn't tell the photos were blurry because I was so bleary-eyed myself that I couldn't see straight. But none the less, they capture the essence of the moment. The Easter Bunny hid some Easter eggs filled with goodies around the house for Isaac, and he took great pleasure in hunting for them. He walked around in search of the eggs with his hands folded behind his back saying, "Hmmm," over and over again. He was overjoyed when he'd find one. He'd crack it open to reveal the contents: "Bunny Easter bring me jelly beans!" Those silly eggs filled with candy were all he cared about. And let me tell you, this boy had his fill of jelly beans this morning. He couldn't have cared less about the books, gardening tools or soccer ball in his Easter basket--Easter Bunny was a hero for bringing him candy.
